Become one of the more than 460,000 people who attend Frankston’s major events and festivals each year and rave about the family-friendly atmosphere and unique community activities.
Frankston is the first city to welcome in the festive season with the annual Christmas Festival of Lights. Over 20,000 people attend to see the spectacular fireworks display and the lighting of the 100 year old Norfolk Pine tree.
From Boxing Day through to Anzac Day the Frankston Waterfront is transformed as 3,500 tonnes of sand is meticulously carved into spectacular sculptures for Sand Sculpting Australia’s annual exhibition.
Frankston’s Waterfront Festival celebrates the city’s stunning beachfront location. For one weekend in January patrons enjoy the food and wine garden, ‘come-and-try’ activities, beach front sports, entertainment and fireworks.
Starting near the pier, Frankston’s Waterfront and streets come alive with athletes and spectators for the internationally renowned Asia Pacific Ironman.
