The Tocumwal Railway Station is a significant part of the town’s history and culture. In 1914 it became a major trans-shipping port between New South Wales and Victoria, as the two railway lines were connected. This railway connection was important in serving the increased transport traffic, the needs of the military, and most importantly it pushed the growth and vibrancy of Tocumwal by expanding the town population.
